India on the way to COP21: Catching up with China

With a population of 1.3 billion people, India’s emission of carbon dioxide is relatively tiny. Narendra Modi wants to increase India’s GDP and to emulate China’s growth. Chinese emissions per head are four times those in India. Regarding India’s 1.6 tones of carbon of year, India needs a smart strategy to grow in a green way- and cannot copy Chinas way. Will India face the same problems of pollution as China does?
