The German broadcaster Deutsche Welle will point out some critical opinions regarding India’s ambitious environmental targets.
India sees itself as “not part of the problem, but part of the solution”. The ambitious goal, to generate 40 percent of its electricity from renewable sources within 15 years, is demonstrated in its INDC’s. Although there are some critical voices, that there is the failure to curb coal use, which will hurt green efforts and increase air pollution, water scarcity and forest destruction. Is there a way for both goals?
