How can we have a dignified relationship in business and industry, in labour and work, in family and friendship, in community and society?
The answer is we cannot. We cannot, unless we challenge certain forces and systems undermining the basic values of dignity. However, it is also true that dignity cannot be demanded merely strength, or enforced by struggle. It has also to be imbibed, earned, and internalized through truth, practice, consistency, communication and conscience of an individual and society.
