Praskanva Sinharay is a Senior Research Associate at the Centre for Financial Accountability. Previously, he worked at the Centre for Policy Research, Oxford University Press, and the India International Institute of Democracy and Election Management, Election Commission of India. He also taught at Presidency University, West Bengal State University, and Vivekananda College (University of Calcutta). He holds a PhD from Centre for Studies in Social Sciences Calcutta, Jadavpur University. His research has been published in journals such as Religion, South Asia: Journal of South Asian Studies, Political and Legal Anthropology Review, Economic and Political Weekly, Seminar, as well as in media platforms such as The Hindu, Scroll and The Wire.
