Dr. Ajay Dubey is currently a professor at School of International Studies and a former Pro-Vice Chancellor of Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi. At JNU, he headed earlier centers for National Security Studies, Energy Studies and the Centre for African Studies. He is Editor-in-Chief of three international journals- Diaspora Studies (by Brill Netherlands), Insight on Africa (by Sage Publications) and Africa Review (Brill, Netherlands). He is also a Book Series Editor of – ‘Global Engagement of Africa’, published by Springer. Besides several dozen research articles, he has published 10 books of area of International Studies. Currently he is President of two civil society organizations- African Studies Association of India and the Organization for Diaspora Initiatives, New Delhi.
