Dr. Rima Ghosh Patranabish is a researcher by training and practice who has been involved in the research, monitoring and evaluation of community intervention programmes in the development sector for the past 15 years. She has worked extensively on aspects of gender, sexuality, LGBTQI issues and mental health and reproductive health as well. She has worked as Research Lead for 6 years, on three projects on LGBTQ issues with Aneka and Best Practices Foundation. Over the years, she has been involved in DFID, IDRC, ILO, HBS and Fogarty International funded projects, and held consultation assignments with IIM Bangalore and ICRW. In Basic Needs, a leading community mental health organisation, she was involved in developing an M&E and cost-effectiveness tool for programmes in Asia and Africa. She is the gender chair, and founder member of Ekakanya, an organisation working towards making young women change leaders in their communities. She has a doctorate, an M.Phil. and a Master’s Degree from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi.
