Dushni Weerakoon is the Executive Director of the Institute of Policy Studies of Sri Lanka (IPS) with research and publications in the areas of macroeconomic policy and international economics. She is currently an Appointed Member to the Monetary Policy Board of the Central Bank of Sri Lanka with extensive experience in public policy engagement with the Government of Sri Lanka (GOSL), as a consultant to international organizations and as a director on the boards of corporate and academic entities. She holds a BSc in Economics with First Class Honors from the Queen’s University of Belfast, UK and an MA and PhD in Economics from the University of Manchester, UK.
