Shalini Yog Shah is the Deputy Director at the Heinrich Böll Stiftung Regional Office in New Delhi (hbs). She is responsible for the Programme on Democracy & Society (Gender) and India International (Global).



Shalini has been a development professional in India and South Asia for over two decades, with extensive experience in policy and research work. At the Foundation, she has been responsible for a diverse set of projects, including climate policy, sustainable livelihoods, inter-religious dialogue, democracy and conflict, gender and trade, macro-economic policy and gender, and global India. Previously, she worked at PRIA (Society for Participatory Research in Asia) on “Strengthening Urban Governance” through capacity building and town planning with elected representatives. At INTACH (Indian National Trust for Art and Cultural Heritage), she was involved in “natural heritage conservation” and developing “blueprints for water harvesting.”



She holds a postgraduate degree from the School of Planning and Architecture, New Delhi.
